ConSep ACACIA Intense Cyanidation Reactor
Highly efficient leaching system that was specificallydesigned to treat high grade concentrate from Knelson Concentrators

1. Concentrate to Acacia
The concentrate generated from KC gravity concentrator over 24 hours is kept in the gold room and fed to the ConSep ACACIA Reactor daily.
2. Pre-washing to remove slimes
Suspended solids are removed to ensure clean gold electrowinning. The overflow containing fine solids is sent back to the grinding circuit.
3. Mixing of Leach Reagents
Water, NaOH, NaCN and LeachAid are added to a reaction vessel feed tank and mixed
4. Leaching of Concentrate
Leach solution is pumped to reaction vessel at a rate to fluidize concentrate. Circulation in reaction vessels occurs for approximately 16 hrs
5. Recovery of Pregnant Solution and Residue Washing
Once reaction has stopped overflow is sampled for assay. Solution is drained into reaction vessel feed tank. Solids are allowed to settle for 15min and pregnant solution is decanted into reaction vessel.
6. Transfer of Solution to Electrowinnging
Gold bearing solution held in the solution make-up tank are transferred directly to electrowinning. Gold is recovered as cathode.
7. Discharge of Leach Residue
Leached residue is discharged back to grinding circuit. The ball mill chips are too heavy to fluidize and remain on distributor screen. These must be physically removed from vessel.
8. Electrowinning
The mixture of pregnant solution and wash solution in solution tank are pumped to electrowinning cell feed tank. The solution is pumped at a fixed flowrate and circulation time in EW cell is based on
9. Disposal of Electrowinning Tail
The Electowinning tails are transferred to the CIL circuit.
